Wouldn't it be wonderful if we were motivated all the time! How amazing would it be, if there was not a constant fight with our brains to keep the same habits we already have. Change, however, is a part of becoming better, and that is one thing I had to learn on my productivity journey.
I am sure you are dying to know the secrets, so I won't bore you any longer.
1, Planning your day hour by hour
If I could scream this suggestion for all the world to hear, I would. There is something about having a time limit that makes us all work harder. This hack, in line with number 4, is exactly how I achieve everything on my daily schedule. Every night I will look at what is listed on my goal board for that week, and plan out my next day, hour by hour: it helps me to stay on track, and know how much I can do in one day.
2, waking up early
If you know me, you know I am passionate about waking up early. There are two major gains from this. First, you have a few extra hours to complete everything. Number two, waking up early puts you in a task-oriented state of mind; You have already completed one struggle, rising early, now you can check off everything else.
3, getting ready for the day
We have all been a victim of the lazy curse, especially on a Saturday. I have stayed home and watched Netflix in my PJs far too many times to count, but what if our laziness draws deeper then motivation?
When you get ready for the day, it does not have to be a full face of makeup or fancy hair, it lifts your mood. This switch of feeling helps set the tone for the rest of the day.
4, setting goals correctly
I have been a goal setter since I was a child. Many people set goals but do not carry them out. I will tell you the way that has helped me the most.
I start out the goal-setting process by choosing my overall goal. I then break down the process it will take to achieve this desired task by task.
every week, I look at my goals, figure out what I need to do that week, then break it down day by day. Having your goals split into small tasks helps to not overwhelm a person, and has helped me to actually do what is needed, instead of procrastinating. I have learned, that the number one reason of procrastination is not laziness, but instead fear: fear of not knowing how to do something or fear of failure.
5, getting rid of distractions
This one is self-explanatory!
Having this knowledge has really helped me to stay motivated and organized, and I know it will do the same for you.
Remember, dreams are as limited as you allow them to be.
